2026 Owen County Candidates

Mary is running for Congress to bring people together, return the people's voice to the people's House, solve real problems, and ensure the next generation has more opportunities, not fewer.

I strongly believe in communication and transparency.  Constituent service is a top priority.  I welcome whatever county government business comes my way and strive to respond in a respectful and professional manner.  I also field a lot of questions and help on things beyond my role as a council member, but I am happy to do so because it’s about public service and helping others.

My well-rounded experiences in the community, including 8 years as a County Councilman, will serve me well as the District 3 representative. With over 60 years of roots in this community, I offer the stability and dedication needed to move us forward.

I believe in not only being part of continuing positive growth, but in helping ensure that i can be positive, responsible, and uplifting aid for anyone who needs a hand. When details are handled with care, transparency, and integrity, our community can continue to grow with confidence and trust

If elected, I will implement a website for the Morgan Township Trustee's office. So information regarding who your Trustee is, and how to contact them, becomes readily available public knowledge.  

Phillip believes we should not be afraid to speak up when we need help, and awareness and connectivity is critical for helping those most vulnerable. He wishes to advocate and increase awareness of services and resources in our community.

On the board he wants to support vital local services—ensuring dignity in cemeteries, a strong volunteer fire department, and compassionate support for those in need.

Athena has has lived in Owen County, Indiana since 2017. Her background in office administration, banking and legal assisting would serve her township and neighbors well.

"I believe that no member of our community should go to bed hungry, cold, or unhoused.  It's my goal to make sure that members of my community are well cared for when they can not care for themselves."

I believe all township residents should be represented with compassion and understanding when in need of emergency services. As a Township Trustee Board Member I would support our Township Trustee in these efforts. Working together and making a difference.
