In January I filed as a candidate for Washington Township Trustee Board, and I am looking forward to this opportunity.
Other than a brief period of time after my retirement that I lived in Florida, I have lived in Owen County since 1983. I was employed at Owen County State Bank for over 33 years prior to my early retirement in 2016. During that time I served in many positions including human resources, regulatory compliance, and senior level bank management. In addition, I obtained my management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University graduating with high honors.
I feel certain my employment background and education prepared me to be a competent and qualified candidate; however, I believe my commitment to our community and my desire to be of service to others far outweighs any other qualifications.
Although I am new to public service, I feel strongly that I am capable and more than willing to serve our community in this position. It would be an honor and I would greatly appreciate your support.
