Policies Ideas and Positions

I am running for State Representative in House District 46 to fight for the people of this district—working families, senior citizens, small business owners, farmers, teachers, and every Hoosier who wants a fair shot at a good life. Our communities deserve a representative who listens first, shows up, and puts people ahead of the politics of Indianapolis.

About

Friends and neighbors of Indiana House District 46, I’m James “Jimmy” Pittsford III, a retired union journeyman steamfitter, a 40-year member of UA Local 136, a lifetime resident of Monroe County, and a graduate of Edgewood High School in Ellettsville IN. I am currently an instructor at the UA training school for Local 136. I am rooted in my faith and have been an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owen County. I know what it means to earn a living, train the next generation, and show up for neighbors.

I believe government should work for everyday people—not just the well-connected—and I will bring honesty, hard work, and accountability to every decision I make. If you give me the honor of serving as your state representative, I will be your voice, your advocate, and your partner in building a stronger future for our families. Together, we can create an Indiana that works for all of us. I am asking for your support, your voice, and your vote on Nov 3, 2026. Sign up to volunteer and consider making a contribution to help us reach voters across the district so we can build a stronger future for all Hoosiers.
