Policies Ideas and Positions
Hello to all! My intentions as the new OC Surveyor will be to serve the citizens, the county, and the job, with diligence, professionalism, and dedication. For some time, the Surveyor office and operation has seen problems, and a degree of disorganization. Even 30 years ago, I fought for proper funding of the office. Hopefully, I'll be able to improve the functioning, and validity of all actions. I do enjoy interacting and helping others, and to resolve their issues and needs, to the best of my abilities.

My experience and qualifications include an extensive technical background. I owned and operated a design and development company which served many local businesses. I have significant managerial and computer skills (80s to present). I served 4 years as a past County Councilman, and military service in Vietnam. I follow the actions of the Commissioners and Council to help inform the citizens whenever possible. I will certainly assist on the planning commission efforts.
A previous job application included a 4 part evaluation.. My results? How important to do a proper job? My response, absolutely 100% correct, no short cuts. Do I lead or follow? Again.. all the way in the Leader category. Do I require or desire significant social interactions? No, I do my best work, focused on the task. And did I wish for repeatable tasks? No, I thrive on multiple aspects, and prefer a variety of challenges. I want to bring all of this to the Surveyor position, and believe IT'S NEEDED!
