"I have worked for the City of Bloomington Utilities as a certified operator since 1984. I serve as a shop steward for AFSCME Union Local 2487, Council 962. I am also a trustee for the Carolina Church and Cemetery. I am running for Commissioner of District 3 to improve road conditions due to the poor state of our county's roads. I also want to start a recycling program and provide more support for the Owen County Humane Society."

Sandy is Vice President of Board of Zoning Appeals, on the Owen County Fairy Board and Treasure of the Democratic Party. Sandy has served in numerous roles over the years serving the citizens Owen County. She is retiring in June which will give her even more time to serve.
