Little Free Pantries of
Owen County
Everyone needs a little bit of help from time to time in their life. The little free pantries spread throughout Owen County are there to do exactly that. Day or night, you can stop by any of these small pantry boxes and take what you need. These boxes are not staffed, and no questions are asked, just help offered. The Owen County Democrats help our community by taking food donations to these boxes approximately twice a month, sometimes more! These donations come from our membership at events.

Gosport Methodist Church
This pantry is located on the side of the building, near the stairs to the fellowship hall. It's one of the smaller sized boxes, so you are not likely to find bulkier items (like boxes of cereal) here.

Grays Estates
This pantry is located at the junction of 9th street and King's Court. It is set apart from any houses, but for GPS purposes, navigating to 125 Kings Court will get you the closest.
This pantry is physically small, but well maintained.

Owen County State Bank
This pantry can be found behind the Owen County State Bank. It's pretty tall, and is right by the banks parking lot exit. If you have mobility issues, you will likely need help with this box.

Spencer Presbyterian Church
This pantry is located on the North side of the church, right on North Street. This little box has great accessibility for people with mobility issues!

Studio 560
This "Barbie" pink pantry is easy to spot, just off of S.R.46 in Spencer. It is easily accessed via the alley between Studio 560 and Valley Optical.

Owen County Library
This vibrant, bright green, box is located behind the Owen County Library, outside of the adult education center. This is one that is typically very easy to access by car, as there is street parking directly in front of the box. The front entrance of the library, inside the foyer, also contains free pantry items.

Jordan Village
Certainly one of the physically larger boxes!
This box is tucked away near the entrance to a small white church on Jordan Village Rd. However, at this time, the box's doors are held closed by a scrap of wood. If you have mobility or dexterity issues, you may find you need help with this box.

Cataract Lake Community Center
A nice large box can be found down towards the far left end (east end) of the Cataract Lake Community Center. The door is held closed by a small toggle at the top, because of this, if you have mobility or dexterity issues, you may find you need help with this box.

Faith Baptist Church
Don't let the Cloverdale address throw you off. This church is located near the junction of 243 and 42, moments away from the Cataract Lake Lodge. When you enter the parking lot, go to the left, at the end of the parking lot, between the lot and the road, you'll find this box.

Freedom Church of the Nazarene
This one can be a little tricky to spot, if there are other cars in the lot. This box is on the left, with parking available directly in front of it.

Jefferson Baptist Church
This is a very well maintained box, directly outside of the front doors of the Jefferson Baptist Church. There is a pull through, so you can bring your vehicle right up to the box.

Patricksburg Elementary
This is a brand new box, added beside the preexisting little free library. You can drive up near the box, but it does require you to be able to walk past the sidewalk into the grassy area between the sidewalk and the school. For this reason, this box could be problematic for people with mobility issues.
